Hope you continue to enjoy!

Blessings,
MerileeMerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00815589455558971673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074079030485584366.post-695172724014851152014-01-16T00:25:36.592-08:002014-01-16T00:25:36.592-08:00I know this is an old post, but I just had to than...I know this is an old post, but I just had to thank you for your recipe. I made my own starter (against common wisdom), threw caution to the wind and Googled "my first sourdough" and landed here!

Holy Mary Mother of God and Sweet baby Jesus! That was the best sourdough I have ever tasted. The WHOLE loaf tastes like one huge English muffin. I slice it thin and toast it crisp. I can't thank you enough.

I also checked out your blog and really appreciate your enthusiastic and warm writing style. My family has been truly blessed by you sharing the knowledge and details that has made this more than a recipe, but an experience!
God bless,
Larry & family

Guestnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074079030485584366.post-81692121945584662512010-10-24T15:14:20.053-07:002010-10-24T15:14:20.053-07:00Thank you for these straight-forward easy to follo...Thank you for these straight-forward easy to follow instructions! I'm glad to have found your instructions since I can't eat commercial yeast, and most instructions are hard for me to understand. Oh, and if you ever make this with whole wheat flour, I realized it needs a bit more (like a half cup) water :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074079030485584366.post-7088044219065621432008-04-06T20:40:00.000-07:002008-04-06T20:40:00.000-07:00Happy Campers - Glad the photos were helpful. Is it the amount the dough is kneaded?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074079030485584366.post-3430774232179831172007-12-30T19:30:00.000-08:002007-12-30T19:30:00.000-08:00Leslie - maybe that is what went wrong with that s...Leslie - maybe that is what went wrong with that step, then. I will have to try and make sure to try cutting it angled the way you are talking about. I knew I hadn't made "flaps" like the recipe talked about. ;0)Merhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00815589455558971673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074079030485584366.post-3121131259734337232007-12-30T18:49:00.000-08:002007-12-30T18:49:00.000-08:00That bread is perfect, good job! Angle the knife so that it is almost level with the top of the loaf and you get flaps which will rise and turn crispy brown.Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07406682754136361877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074079030485584366.post-44102480524289345752007-12-30T18:19:00.000-08:002007-12-30T18:19:00.000-08:00Oooh, I'll bet your house smells yummy!
