Less of This in 2008

This loaf of bread is brought to you as a gentle reminder to always mark your bulk goods, even if you think there is no way you could mistake that item for anything else.

I made this loaf of bread a few days ago, and thought I was using a mix of whole wheat and white bread flours. Unfortunately, it turned out that I was using 100% whole wheat flour - and the brick I had to show for it was so unappealing that I ate one small slice and deposited the rest in the trash.

Here's hoping that 2008 will contain less flops in the kitchen, and more and more tasty foods to share with friends and family.
