When I am in the middle of working on a play, as I am now (stage managing Steel Magnolias at Magenta Theater, whoo!) I tend to eat whatever I have on hand that I can grab and go. So I took an evening and made up what I think of as homemade convenience food. I prepared a number of veggie trays with little snack hummus packs that I got at Costco. See:I made up a bunch of them and then when I was on my way out the door I could just grab and go!
What are some of your favorite grab and go snacks?

7% Vegetarian
I have always proudly declared myself to be a carnivore. On our first date, I suggested Bryan take me to a BBQ place. I figured, if the date was a flop - at least I would get to eat good meat!
So (with all this emphasis on tasty animal flesh) it should really not come as much of a surprise that I have not tried a huge number of veggies. In fact, according to the Vegetarian's Hundred posted recently by Breadchick, I am only 7% vegetarian. *wink*
Go check out the list of vegetarian "must tries" and see how many of them you've had.
Enjoy!

The bento formally known as frozen
Bento #39 was hot! (By which I mean I microwaved it right before eating.) And a good thing, too... because it has been really cold in the cafeteria lately at the middle school I work at.This bento contains:
- 5 fresh tomatoes picked from my garden this morning (Can I just say again how astonished I am to be picking tomatoes in the morning, and watching it snow in the evening! What a crazy November this is.)
- A frozen Boca pattie with carrot peelings on top for decoration
- frozen corn
- frozen stir-fry vegetables
- maple chipotle grille sauce (hidden beneath the Boca burger)
I was thinking to myself as I ate my lunch today, that I had packed a bento even my vegan friends could enjoy. Being something of a carnivore myself, I found this worthy of comment.
Thanks for reading!
